Frequently Asked Questions

Will my repairs be guaranteed? What if I am not satisfied with my repair job?

All repairs at Perks Auto are guaranteed for as long as you own the vehicle. Your satisfaction is our number one priority and we take great pride in doing all that we can to restore your vehicle to pre-accident condition.

How long will it take to get my car fixed?

The repair time depends on the extent of the damage. Our average repair is about two-three days, but some reparations can take several weeks.

Can Perks Auto match my paint?

Yes, our color matching is guaranteed. We use the same paint as most car manufacturers, which allows us to fully restore the paint job to pre-accident conditions.

How soon after my repairs can I wash my car?

You can wash your car as soon as you pick it up. In fact, we always wash your car before delivery. However, you will need to wait approximately 30 days before applying any wax or sealant to the new paint.

Do I have the right to select the auto body shop that will repair my car? What if the insurance company suggests a particular body shop or shops?

Your insurance company can make suggestions, but you have the right to choose any auto body shop to repair your vehicle.

Will I have to pay any additional out-of-pocket costs if I have my repairs done outside the network?

If you insured, the most you will have to pay is your deductible. If you are the claimant, there are no out-of-pocket costs.

Do I need to get more than one estimate?

In the past, insurance companies have required customers to get multiple estimates, but that is no longer the policy for many insurance companies. If you are uncertain, be sure to talk with your insurance representative about it.

What if the insurance estimate is lower than the shop I would like to use?

In most cases, the insurance estimate will be low, but Perks Auto will negotiate the price with your insurance for you; so you don’t have to worry about negotiating the price.

Who pays the repair bill?

The owner of the vehicle is responsible for payment, however, most insurance claims are paid directly to Perks Auto by the insurance company.

How long does an estimate take?

Estimates typically take 10-15 minutes, depending on the extent of the damage.

Do I need to make an appointment for an estimate?
